Māori Language Week at Riverside Market
14–20 September

Celebrate Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori at Riverside Market as we embrace and celebrate the Māori language throughout the Market.

During the week, you’ll find Māori language signs and words displayed throughout Riverside Market, offering visitors the opportunity to discover and use te reo Māori as they explore, shop and dine.

Join us on Friday 18 September, from 4–5pm, for a special kapa haka performance by Te Huarahi from Linwood Avenue School. Come along and enjoy an afternoon of waiata, kapa haka and Māori culture as our young performers bring their energy and talent to Riverside.

Then on Saturday, enjoy live music from a talented Māori singer, adding to the celebrations and creating a wonderful atmosphere throughout the Market.
