Every Easter, Riverside Market welcomes the Easter Bunny and the wider Christchurch community for our annual Easter Eggstravaganza — a fun-filled celebration packed with Easter activities, treasure hunts, chocolate treats and family-friendly fun.

Taking place throughout the Easter weekend, Easter Eggstravaganza has become a much-loved Riverside tradition, giving families the perfect reason to visit the market, explore our traders and enjoy a little Easter magic together.

🐰 THE GREAT RIVERSIDE EGG HUNT

One of the highlights of Easter Eggstravaganza is our annual Children's Egg Hunt!

Little explorers are invited to follow a special clue sheet and search around Riverside Market for hidden Easter eggs.

Families can collect their clue sheet from the designated Riverside collection point before setting off on their Easter adventure. Once all the eggs have been found, children can return their completed sheet to collect a special prize and go into the draw for our main Easter Prize Draw.

It's a fun way for children to explore the market while putting their observation and detective skills to the test!

🍫 MEET THE EASTER BUNNY

No Easter celebration would be complete without a visit from the Easter Bunny! Each Easter weekend, our very special guest hops into Riverside to meet families, take photos and spread plenty of Easter cheer. Children can come along to meet the Easter Bunny and receive a free chocolate egg, making for a sweet and memorable Easter experience.

The Easter Bunny's visit times and schedule may vary each year, so families are encouraged to keep an eye on Riverside's event announcements for the latest details.

🎨 EASTER COLOURING COMPETITION

It's time to get creative! Children can take part in our Easter Colouring Competition, with colouring sheets available to collect from Riverside during the Easter weekend.

Once their masterpiece is complete, children can enter their artwork for the chance to win one of our Easter prize packs. It's a simple, creative activity that gives little artists the chance to show off their imagination while enjoying the Easter festivities at Riverside.
