Empire Chicken is responsible for serving Christchurch folk with some of the best fried chicken the city has sunk its teeth into.
The toothsome tale began in 2018, when owner Jayden Smith opened the window to his dream food truck. One taste of the goods and Christchurch was hooked on crowd favourites like the Double Chicken Burger, snack boxes and devilishly crispy potatoes. While the menu is designed to please the purest of fried chicken fanatics, those with a meat-free palate will find tasty vegetarian and vegan alternatives too. Empire Chicken believes in keeping things local, sustainable and delicious by sourcing free range chooks from Brinks farms, ingredients from small businesses and wrapping their fried fare in organic and recyclable packaging.
