Brief description:
Senior business leader responsible for the full operational performance of El Quincho across people, partners and profit.

About the Role

This is a whole-of-business leadership role. As General Manager, you will lead both Front and Back of House, ensuring seamless service, strong culture, and consistent execution at every level of the business.

You are the primary point of contact for:

  • Riverside Management

  • HR systems and people operations

  • Marketing agency liaison

  • Key suppliers and service partners

You will translate strategy into daily execution — aligning people, process and performance into a structured, scalable operation.

This role is for a leader who thrives on ownership, clarity and long-term impact.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and align FOH + BOH leadership teams

  • Own daily operational performance of the business

  • Be the official operational representative to Riverside

  • Lead HR execution: onboarding, performance, training, compliance

  • Act as marketing execution lead in-venue with agency coordination

  • Own supplier relationships, pricing discussions and service quality

  • Implement and protect systems, standards and culture

  • Drive profitability through structure, not pressure

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

People & Culture

  • Staff retention & engagement

  • Training completion & performance standards

  • Leadership stability across FOH & BOH

Operations

  • Service flow efficiency

  • Systems compliance (checklists, procedures, audits)

  • Incident management & resolution quality

Financial

  • Labour cost % within target

  • Operational GP protection

  • Cost control through supplier and stock discipline

Brand & Partnerships

  • Riverside relationship quality

  • Marketing execution consistency in-venue

  • Supplier reliability & pricing performance

Decision Rights vs Ownership

You HAVE Full Authority Over:

  • Daily operations (FOH + BOH)

  • Rosters, staffing structure, shift leadership

  • Training systems and performance management

  • Supplier coordination & negotiations within agreed budget

  • Service standards and customer experience execution

  • Marketing execution inside the venue

  • Operational problem-solving and escalation

Ownership RETAINS Authority Over:

  • Strategic direction

  • Capital expenditure

  • Brand positioning and long-term marketing strategy

  • Final legal, shareholder and structural business decisions

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience leading entire hospitality operations

  • Strong people leadership across multiple departments

  • Confident communication with landlords, agencies and suppliers

  • Deep understanding of systems, HR, training and compliance

  • Financial awareness across labour, GP and cost control

  • Organised, decisive and execution-driven

  • LCQ and Duty Manager Certificate required
