Riverside Live celebrates local artists and bands in one of Christchurch's most loved venues.
Set in the Riverside Cantina, our live music nights are intimate and atmospheric with access to the Riverside Cantina's extensive drink selection. You can also pre-order a platter of artisan cheese, salami and condiments from Charing Cross Cheesery.
Accessibility:
We have an elevator up to the first floor, however our Live Music Nights are located on the top mezzanine, which can only be accessed by stairs. Please consider this when purchasing your tickets, we apologise for any inconvenience.

About the band
The quartet leans heavily on the Latin side of jazz, with a repertoire plundered from New York to Brazil, and treatments echoing the Afro-Cuban stylings of the 1940's and 1950's.
The instrumentation of tenor saxophone, keyboard, guitar and congas offers a collective sound that is subdued in volume but not in intensity, and with the emphasis on the melodic and rhythmic elements of jazz, the quartet delivers engaging, accessible and buoyant music.
And glory be, you can dance to a good deal of the offerings, and you can certainly whistle the tunes on the way home.
