Gumboot Friday Campaign for Mental Health
Riverside Market
Friday 28th May | Donations appreciated
Save the date: Friday 28 May! Help raise awareness and donations for those struggling with depression. The I Am Hope Gumboot Friday campaign is raising funds for any kid who needs support.
Having depression is like walking through mud every day, so we ask you to show your support by putting your gumboots, give a gold coin donation, and joining us as we walk 1km around Christchurch Central this Friday 28 May at 9am.
Instead of one person walking 100km (like Gumboot Friday founder Mike King will be doing in Auckland), we're hoping to get 100 people to walk 1km each around the market.
It's a fun way for Kiwis to join in the mental health conversation, while raising money to provide FREE and timely counselling for any young person in need.
Last year organisers Key to Life were able to provide 17,333 counselling sessions to 5,667 kiwi kids. Let's triple it this year!
